Default to AC or not to AC?

I know the JK has a less than a/c unit. Having said that, should I recharge it for the winter in my 2010 because it has been freaking cold in Missouri so far. I do have hot heads headliners installed but the JK is still an iceberg.

Thoughts...

You say recharge. This would imply your refrigerant, which has nothing to do with your heat. The heat comes from the the jacket (coolant) water which is heated by the engine.

Ok, I'm sorry for writing a confusing question. My Jeep is super cold. Is there any way to increase the heat output so we aren't freezing while driving around?

Mine blows hot as hell. If it's blowing hot and you are still cold, buy a better jacket or a Grand Cherokee

My heater feels like it's going to burn me it comes out so hot. Heated seats are the bomb.

If your heater is not blowing hot, it may have a stuck thermostat. Does the engine temp heat up? If it is blowing hot, add heated seat kit, I think Quadratec has them. My Jeep sits in an open parking lot all day so when I get in it at the end of the day (in dress clothes) it does not warm up fast enough. I am not a big fan of heated seats and steering wheels.... it is a Jeep but to each his own.
