Default AC vent problems?

My air conditioning never really impressed me, but this past weekend was hot in the desert and AC was indeed needed. What I found out is that the passanger side was getting the cool air and the drivers side vents was pushing not so cool air. I'm guessing there was at least a 10 to 15 degree difference.

So I go in to the Jeep dealership to set up an appointment for the recalls that have built up over the last 3 years, and ask them about the AC. Well they wanted $101 to diagnose the problem. Hummm. The vents? What does it take to diagnose that the vents are not working correctly. So I told them I'd think about it whether I want them to diagnose it.

Recalls I remember: 2008 Wrangler

1. brake lines may rub and spring a leak.

2. Transmision cooling temp has to be re-programmed.

Any more?

I have not been to the dealer for about 3-4 years.

Anyone know of any history with the AC vents? The heat works fine on both sides. SWANGE!

Look behind the glove box. There is a intake of some sort back there. Mine did this last year on a trip back from Florida. Had paper that was in glove box get sucked onto the vent. Sorta half covered it. hope this helps.

Default Air conditioning issue

Hello, a/c issue sounds like low charge. Its common for there to be a temperature difference from side to side of vehicle when there is inadequate refrigerant. Heat works ok because its supplied by a separate system.
