Default Acceleration Problems?

I was at the car wash for the first time with my new 2009 2 door Wrangler. I went through the wash and the employees were drying off the jeep as it came off the line when suddenly the manager yelled for everyone to get clear of my jeep. He then motioned for me to open my jeep door and he told me that Jeeps need to be hand pushed into the car wash and hand pushed out after an incident of rapid accelartion last fall. He said the Jeep took off out of the car wash, across the frontage road and out into the freeway. Since then, all Jeeps must be pushed by hand. Anyone know anything about this?

I had never heard of such a thing before this. I wondered if it was operator error. The manager told me it was one of their own employees driving it through. It is a good car wash, but I think I will try a different carwash next time for the jeep. I really do not want it pushed through by hand.

In other words the guy screwed up and lied to avoid losing his job, and possibly getting sued by Jeep owner. Poor Jeep to all the wrap
