Default Advice on customizing 2012 Sahara

Good morning. Recently bought 2012 Sahara. Thinking about 2" lift, wheels and larger tires. Would like input on several concerns. How will it affect a now near perfect ride? Will it affect shock performance. What does it do to gas mileage? Do I need to reprogram to maximize efficiency? Specifically looking at HD Hoss with Nitto Terrain's. Any comments? Thanks.

If you get 2" spacers and shock adapters your ride comfort will barely change at all.

And you like the Nitto Terra Grapplers? Those are mild all terrains and ride nice. Staying with a lower service rated all terrain tire will help you keep a factory-like ride.

You will lose some power with larger tires but the 3.6 should have no problem with them. You thinking 33s?

--I put a Rock Krawler 2.5 lift in my jeep and got almost 4" of lift up front. It rides a harsher(tires fault) and is a little squirrely when hitting bumps on the highway because I haven't put money into addressing all the additional steering fixes needed with that lift height.--

My 2012 JKU Sahara handles next to stock with just a TF 1.5" leveling kit and Spidertrax 1.5" wheel spacers. The look improved 100%, I'll upgrade to Rubicon components once my stock shocks wear out for a firmer ride.

The rubicon components may be too firm if you are mostly on pavement.

I think my Rubicon shock drove very nice. They'd be better for controlling heavier tires.
