I unfortunately have to use it. Tried the rolling down the window thing but at 110-120 degrees it gets a little too uncomfortable! Not whining...just saying!

According to the service manual we're supposed to change A/C filter at 20000 km's er 12500 miles. I've turned the A/C on once since I got the jeep just to try it out, A/C literally makes me sick. Either the windows go down or the top comes off, best A/C available IMO.

While I dont live in a extremely warm climate now. Compared to where you live I do haha, I have in the past. Even here in chicago, it gets to high 90's and has been at or close to 100 many times as well. When it gets to be that hot, the outside air is like a hair drier. If im on the highway, then sure the top and doors would come off, but sitting in traffic, with no ac and sometimes depending on the situation is a must, ie..work, and meetings.

The climate in Chicago is alot like here isnt it? I mean the highest we normally see is around 32 - 35C here during the summer. I think A/C is awesome but not for me is all, I get all stuffed up and feel like crap for hours each time im in a vehicle with the A/C running. The heat doesnt bother me I enjoy temps in the high 30's and low 40's, its the cold that I hate lol.

I've owned a BMW that was supposed to have a cabin filter, turns out someone had removed it and never put it back. The evap coil was a black gooey mess. Plus the filter was a royal PITA to change when I did put one in. The ONLY advantage I saw was that it might keep the heater and evap cores cleaner, that's all.
