Default Air dam

 I am thinking of removing my air dam...(the part under the front bumper, right?) I am curious as to whether or not I will have to modify or re-wire anything or if it just one of those tihngs that is easy to remove??? I'm thinking that it might make my jeep look a little bit less like a Jeep Compass... If anyone has any info on ths it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks... Hangfire, out.

The air dam is designed to be removed easily - for off road clearance. It is, however, there for improved fuel economy on the street.

Default Thanks!

Off road clearance is another reason...I've scarred it up a little bit and don't want it to come off one day and wind up being an un-intended portion of a moving part. Thanks for the info.... going to go remove my airdam now.

Yes, the air dam comes off with about 6 nylon screws.... was wondering if I should re-install mine after adding a winch to the front bumper. I guess it would probably get tore apart after a couple trail rides anyway.

i just took mine off, i'll try to pay attention next time i fill up and see if it makes any difference

i like the more raw look without it. gives the illusion of at least .5-1" more clearance from the front view too
