Default Air tools

Hey guys, need some input here. I just ordered a new compressor and am looking into some air tools. Specifically, an impact wrench. 3/8", 1/2" or 3/4"?? Deep well sockets or not? Which size works best for most JK projects?

Metric and I seem to use deep well sockets more often than naught. It won't hurt to have a variety. And you will want impact sockets.

You can't go wrong with IR (ingorsol rand) 1/2 in. You'll need a set of metric impact sockets to go with it. Craftsman from Sears or Colbolt from Lowes both have life time warrenty.

1/2" drive, with impact sockets, deep and regular, is what I have. Haven't needed one any bigger.

Thanks for the replies. I was leaning toward 1/2" drive with deep well metric impact sockets. Gonna try to pick up an IR wrench without breaking the bank.....but I may be dreaming.

^Ditto. Ingersoll Rand all the way.

Nothing on your Jeep will need the ft/lb from a 3/4" impact.

I had been using the same IR 231 for 14yrs at work. Finally killed it this spring. Im now using an IR 2131 composite that I've had at the house for the last 10yrs. Needless to say they are worth the price.
