Default What is this, and where does it go!?

So, it unfortunately didnt really come out in the picture, but I was sitting in my Jeep at lunch when I noticed behind the steering column, there was a little square 'plug' probably about .5 x .5" with about 8 insertable 'holes' - looks like something for a male/female adapter for something...

I stuck my little fingers back there to see, the cord wouldnt pull out any further and I couldnt feel anything else not plugged in.

Help?

I thought it was the connector for the Time Travel Dash Display for models fitted with the optional Flux Capacitor?

You're mistaken. It's the harness connector for biometric fuel transmorphication to Mr. Fusion

It's the plug the dealer use to hook up the machine that causes your Jeep to catch fire, engine seize up, or any other issue the second you leave the lot and then they say it is not covered by the bumper to bumper warranty.

Ah, so that's the infamous "spun bearing initiator" connector plug I've heard all about that they utilize at the 40K mile service...
