Default ambient temp

hi,
i'm still having trouble with ambient temp gage, i replaced the sensor twice and the plug it goes into, it keeps faulting out and throwing a cel p0073 at any temp under 40 deg, cel goes off and all works well above 40 deg, this is an 07 Jk when it was new it would do that at anything below zero, which didn't happen often enough to worry about, i have no electrical knowledge, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so what fixed it
thanks again

Here is some info for the code you have:

P0073-AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH

  • When Monitored: With the ignition on. Battery voltage greater than 10 volts.
  • Set Condition: The Ambient Temperature Sensor voltage is greater than the maximum allowable voltage. One Trip Fault. Three good trips to turn off the MIL.

You have already replaced the sensor. That leaves a bad wire or connection, and the TIPM.
Concentrate on connector pins, and the wires. When it gets cold, a break in a wire or bad pin may be contracting enough to lose continuity.
The same thing could also be happening on the TIPM circuit board.
