Default Another fuel overflow problem 2010 models?

I just bought a 2010 JKU and have found it has the same fuel overflow problems that some 07-08s had a recall on. There is only 7200 miles on this Jeep and it is under the original 36000/3 year warranty until March therefore i want to get on this problem real soon. Has anyone been successful in getting this problem fixed under the manufacter warranty for the 2010 models? If so, do you have any suggestions as to approaching the stealership about fixing it on the 2010?

Huh - I was surprised you didn't get a response to post. The only thing that could possibly make me an expert is the gas spitting back from my '07 and the dealership said "no recall, figure around $600."
There's a "Gas Overflow" thread running that might give you more info - good luck!

I took my 2010 2 dr into the dealer, said that it spits fuel back at me , no matter what gas station i take it to. I was taking it in for the recall on the skid palte, they told me they would warranty the tank and installed it a week later. No charge

Skid plate recall? I have a 2010 as well. Didn't get any notice.

I had mine fixed at about 29,000 miles. I have a 2010 JKU. I took it in told them about it, they told me to run it till I had about a quarter tank left and bring it back. I did and they went and filled it up, fuel shoots out and they put a whole new tank in. They only charged me for the gas.

That recall is a joke, they are going to take your plate away and give you a bar that barely protects anything!

And this is the reason for the recall... Wheeling in a field with tall dried grass all day.

My 2010 Unlimited just started spitting fuel out about 2 months ago. I have 57K miles on it and no extended warranty. The dealer told me there is no recalls or tech bulletin out for this issue.

They no longer change the fuel tank. I had this problem with my 08, which was just serviced last week. The problem is a sticking check valve. They now just replace the fuel fill pipe. Guess gas tanks were getting expensive so the check valve is now in the fill pipe.
