Question Another Question

In the Engine compartment there is a Round somthing Just in front of the battery's right corner that has a small black hose routed to the intake manifold just next to the metal egr pipe. I noticed the other day that it was melted where it had been in contact with the metal pipe. any body have a clue as to what this round thing is and what the hose does?
Thanks

Is that a JK????

It looks to be a bomb.... Cut the blue wire and I think it'll diffuse it.

I don't know what I'm looking at really. Maybe it's an air pump??? Do you have air lockers??? That's my best guess for now.
