Default Another Squeal thread...

I have a squeal from the front end. It happens when I am standing still or moving. It becomes a higher pitch squeal when driving. Could that be the TSB?

There are 2 TSBs.. one for the axle seal and the other for the clutch. But, I would have to be moving for the squeal to occur, correct? Could these TSBs happen when standing still?

Both pulleys were replaced.
Didn't you mention that you had a squeal from something? Maybe the AC condensor?

yes the a/c cond pulley was squealing like a pig haha, easy way to check it is to turn the a/c on, if it changes the noise then that is it, if you look at the pulley before you turn it on you will see only the outer pulley rotating, the inner part gets magnetized to the outer when you turn the a/c on thus changing the noise, it should get quieter with it on. I guess sand/mud gets in between the two. I paid 779 to have it replaced

This exact thing is happening to me, I'm gonna try and get it fixed under warranty if I can. Needs a really good bath first though so it's not obvious I've been through deep mud.

yeah mine was at 37,190mi if they wont cover it you can talk them down in price, check to see if they have parts listed on their site, most sell them online cheaper anywhere from 10-30% off, I knew what needed to be replaced before I brought it in and was able to get them to lower price $125 because the comp lists for 481 and they sell it for 358 on their site.

Good Luck

Mine only has 25k miles, so I may be good with the warrenty. I'll have to check if it's the AC comp first. Thanks, Tim.
