Any one else have this happen?

...I pull up on the passenger seat lever to move the seat forward for a friend to get in back.....Then slide the seat back and push the seat backwards to lock into "normal" upright position...and nothing! Goes all the way to full recline....and dosent lock into place on the slider (whole seat moves all way forward to all way back even without touching the bar under front of seat??) Played around a bit with the handles and levers, but no luck....Gotta take my kid to school every day in this....
Any suggestions or experience with this?

Mine did that to me once, i cycled it forward and back on the slides and reclined it let it go forward a couple times, and it self corrected. whatever was out of whack popped back in, it hasnt done it since. :dontknow2:

I've had this happen and seen it happen on other vehicles. It is usually just something like going the opposite direction completely to get it back to normal. Put it this way, I have never seen a seat completely break. It is prolly just not grabbing right....good luck.

unfortunately some have broken:

I hope yours is just being stupid and straightens up.

Yup...That was it HappyC....
I slammed it forwards while fully reclined, popped the seatback forwards and slammed the whole seat back till it caught.....seems fine now. Further proof that if it's broke....kick the crap outta it till it's better......or something:thumbsup:

Same here only twice.

Recline the seat to fully back, it will catch, and it will be fine from there. I took it to a dealership for this problem, they were going to replace the seat frame, I read about how to correct it here somewhere. It a stupid feature of the seat. Or at least, this worked for me...
If you are reclining it and it's hitting the rear seat, try to move that seat, or remove the rear seat it to get the front to recline further?
