Anybody got SPARK KNOCK????
I live at roughly 6300'. I frequently travel to an area of Montana that is 3500'. Whenever I go to Montana, mine will ping like crazy, but once I get back home, not a trace. Dealer says it's the computer not compensating for the altitude. Bullshit. The PCM should accomodate the change failry quickly. It may be different qualities of fuel, who knows.
Hello, I have an 08 Jeep Wrangler automatic. I have added a K&N drop in filter, and zero ohm plug wires and a Gibson cat-back exhaust. My Jeep has a spark knock that the dealership said was normal. It knocks on take off and going up a slight grade slowly. I have tried Mopar fuel injection cleaner, non-ethanol gas, marvel mystery oil, Lucas oil gas treatment, had my computer flashed at a now closed Dodge, Jeep dealership ( same one that said it was normal). I went to a different delership and they said they could not hear any knock only my exhaust. My buddy has a code reader and the Jeep is not throwing out a code. Any Ideas???????
Was anyone able to resolve this. My spark knock on my 2010 3.8 is driving me crazy.
Thnx
