Default Anyone else having tire trouble?

My 2012 jku got a flat today. The low pressure light turned on and within minutes I was pulled over and it was going flat. There was an odd mark completely around the sidewall (appeared melted and white.) I thought maybe it was melting because I was riding on the sidewall, but it never got that low.

I have just under 2,500 miles on the tires so I'll be contacting the dealer on monday to see if the goodyear wranglers will stick to the 50,000 mile warranty they claim. I couldn't find any nails or holes anywhere. I'm dumbfounded on this one. I check the pressure once a week and they've all been perfectly fine.

Anyone else experience any trouble? I put quite a few miles on the same type of tires when I had my 07 jk.

Did you rub against a curb or something? Could have put a small hole in the sidewall.

Tell them that you no longer feel safe on the Goodyears, and that you would like a new set of Rubi tires.

Nope. For the life of me I can't figure it out. I'm thinking it's a tire flaw but I'm sure the dealership will try to say it was user error/fault and try everything to not replace it.

Maybe the beginning of a tread separation like the problem Firestones had years ago? Where on the sidewall was the "melted" part? Was it out towards the tread?

That's strange. A friend of mine bought a '12 about a month ago and had the exact same thing happen

It's right above the white lettering on the tire.

I'd take it to the dealer right away and have them look at it. That sounds too much like tread separation to me. Make sure you take a few pictures of the tire first in case it mysteriously "disappears". If they agree, I would seriously demand a new full set of tires....and not the Goodyears. I'd push for rubi tires, since if they give you Sahara tires, they'd have to give you new wheels also.
