Anyone else think the 2013 rubicon rims look bad?
When I saw a '13 Rubi at the dealer last week, my first reaction was that it was pretty highly stylized for being on such a utilitarian car.
I don't think I mind, though, because any stock Jeep wheel, really, won't hold up that well to abuse and rock/brush scrapes. The steel wheels on a stock JK won't, the aluminum wheels on the Sports won't, and the Rubicon wheels (which were pretty much the same as the sport wheels until '13), are equally susceptible. The Sahara with its chrome wheels is kind of funny...clearly meant for the city and looking clean. The styled wheels just don't look as rugged, even though they probably are. My thought--just run with them until they incur enough damage to annoy you, then swap them for a good offroad wheel and a set of new tires. Or, do it right off the bat!

I like em a lot. What I don't like is the Sahara wheels, without the painted inserts. In the early literature, the centers were painted a little darker than the machined finish. That looks MUCH better than the complete machinedk look.
