Anyone got tips on installing brake HARD LINE?
I already posted that I fkdup my driver side hard rear brake line right at the connection with the flex brake line. Unfortunately the driver side brake line does not have any connections and goes straight into the master cylinder. I was also told by many shops that flanging is not the best approach because it may leak with time.
I checked with the local dealer that the whole brake line from engine bay to the rear caliper only cost $50 so I decided to install the whole new line instead. However, I can only assume how much of a work it will be trying to line up this new line.
I would really appreciate some tips on what do I need to look for during and after the install.
Has anyone done it?
I understand I will need to bleed the line, but do I need to flash the whole system? Dealer told me that he will be flashing the brake system, is there really need for that?

Same boat here. After kicking my self by using the brake line drop brackets instead of just getting extended brake lines in the first place, my swaybar endlink snagged the driver side line, during some hard flex. Needless to say Ive got ext lines now. I cant understand why the rt side is a two-piece easily swapped out, but the driver side is one piece. I guess I shouldnt be too upset as it was alot cheaper then I thought itd be. I fished the entire line from the engine compartment back. Theres some heat wrap youll need to open in the middle & plenty of clips. An extra person at the front would help guiding. I got mine through intact & no creases or new bends by taking my time. I only had a few thousand miles on mine & didnt bother to flush the whole system. I let it gravity bleed for a few & just bled the system the old fashioned way. Start to finish was about an hr. Good luck...

Thanks for the tip, I too have only few thousand miles on my rig, so I guess I will just have to do usual bleeding. That is good to know.
Looks like it wasn't that hard to do for you and didn't take too much time. That is some inspiring news. Thank you.
