I have a 12 with remote start & the Karr security system. I had trouble with the remote start when new that the dealer fixed. I have never had a problem with the key fob and have not changed the battery yet (34 months). As I recall, if you lock the doors and tailgate with the key, you can't unlock with the fob. I have only done this once and don't want to go outside to check again. Hot today in AZ.

I pick up my Jeep tomorrow. The dealer said that they have worked with Chrysler on troubleshooting the problem and found it to be a faulty remote antenna. Fingers crossed that this will solve the problem.
I'll report back when I have time to test it for a few days.
