Default Auto trans service

Today I was at the dealer for my 27,000 mile oil change. They are recommending a auto trans flush and fuel injection service at my next oil change at a price of $210.00 for both.Does that seem reasonable?Or is it an unnecessary service?

I would refer to the maintenence schedule in your owners manual, unless your having a problem with your trasmission or injection.

Ask them if, since it is so far ahead of the published maintenance schedule, the service is FREE.

Seriously, though, it's not a bad idea. I just wouldn't trust them to do it on my vehicle.

Who would you take it to?A transmission shop?I don't have the space to do my own work.

They are crazy as hell. The auto trans doesn't need servicing until the 60K service. DON'T have it flushed. This is a gimmick to take your money. Just have the fluid drained and replaced and the filter replaced when its time.

So its a good idea to change to the fluid at 30K, just not a complete flush?

What does fuel injection service mean? Are the injectors removed and cleaned or are they replaced?I go through 2 tanks of gas a week so there should not be a lot of sediment in the tank.

With how hot these transmissions run, I don't see a fluid change at 30K as a bad thing..
Who said anything about 30K?
