I'm not having any problems, but I did install a Hayden transmission cooler since I do like to go wheeling. Cheap insurance to keep from having your trans from over heating.

Got the same recall notice....It doesnt actually solve the tranny heating issue, but only serves as a warning when the trans does overheat. The warning light should display when the trans is overheating and we should either take it real easy or stop driving for a while until the trans cools down...

2010, 16k miles. No problems.

Got my first code yesterday, P0218, overheating transmission. OD off, stayed in D and 2wd on a slight uphill dirt road. Transmission sounded a little funny on and off until I headed back down. No burning smell or anything. IIRC I had the recall/tsb thing done but I didn't get a hot oil message on the dash cluster.

8 months / 9k miles NP (knocking on wood), about to install aux transmission cooler and change transm oil. Have setup transmission oil temp monitor and very surprised that even on mild off-road in 4WD HI temp goes up to 227F on a blink on an eye, sometimes up to 237F w/o alarm. Stared to use LO more often to keep under control.

I have had the hot oil light come on but I haven't been to the dealer yet. It was on a pretty rough logging road, not used much anymore, in 4 high. It was only on for less that 60 seconds and it never came on again after that. Oil change is coming up soon so I will see what they say then. I think I had around 6,000 miles or so.
