^ How many miles on it?

I have 140K miles on my 2009, and haven't had any trans issues or bad symptoms...knock on wood.

I had a 2003 Liberty which had the same 42RLE trans and that started doing what you described around 100K miles.

Default Tranny Croaked at 51,200 miles

Having no previous issues with my Jeep, I was told to "flush" the auto tranny at 50,000 miles. I did that at a local 4X4 shop. About a month later as I was backing out of the garage the Jeep came to an abrupt halt and started making a grinding noise, lurching and acting like I was backing over the trash can.
Call the tow truck, off the stealer and, yep, tranny was kaput. No one said the flush caused this but comeon, I don't know it for a fact but I just know it's true.
Stealer got Jeep to go 50-50 on the replacement since it was out of warranty by 2 months but still cost me $2400.

It currently has about 123500. I've put 10k on it since I bought it a year ago. It's never gotten worse, just something I wondered about.

Default Automatic Transmission Problems

80,000 miles on a 2010 Wrangler, pretty much stock. Torque Converter seal blew, replaced it, no good. This weekend I am replacing the converter and the seal, there is a tiny wear mark where the seal rides and it just wont seal up. It's a pita to pull the tranny on these suckers without a lift.....
