Default Automatic transmission fluid - Where to put it in?????

Gawd this is embarassing........but I can't figure out where you put in new AT fluid in my 2008 JK, I find all the other fill pipes, but all I find under the hood is the AT fluid dip stick. I can't imagine you would fill it thru the dip stick pipe.

Please give this bozo the honor of your answer........thxxxxxxxxx.........

(oh yea, can't find the manual either)

Default Transmission fluid top up through dipstick close to bulkhead

Hi, you basically add transmission fluid though the dip tub close to the bulk head of your jeep (Yellow knob) NOT the engine oil dipstick !

Just just a funnel to get the fluid in, I topped mine up a couple of weeks ago as I installed a transmission cooler,

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Mark

Have a stick, so can't answer your primary question. But, if you go to Jeep.com you can download the owners manual for free.

Yep, you add auto transmission fluid through the dipstick. Yellow plastic handle dipstick near the firewall at the rear of the engine.

Be sure to use ONLY ATF-4 fluid. Can be Mopar, Valvoline, Walmart brand, or Castrol, but MUST be ATF-4.
