Default autozone diagnostic comp..

my engine light has come on and my jeep wont start all the time...the comp at autozone diagnose it as charging system low voltage...
causes are: loose r misssing belt(its not that),faulty alternator(auto zone checked it and said it was good),Faulty battery(had that checked to) or faulty connection(cant seem to find any losse r bad connection anywhere)

any suggestions guys...how accurate is the comp autozone uses is it the same that the dealership would use?

thanks

Default Are You Still under warranty?

If you still have warranty, back to the dealer.

If not, then I would check my battery and grounds. if you only check the battery and the associated devices you still miss the wiring.

are you referring to your check engine light? Is it throwing a specific code? What EXACTLY does the jeep do when it acts up? Does it click or is it dead? Do your lights stay strong or do they die out at the same time you have problems? What is the voltage output from your alternator? Have you checked the battery connections for cleanliness and tightness? Check EVERY interior light and switch and double check every one. Most times this sort of problem has a simple solution, finding it can be tough....Remember an alternator putting out only 12 volts will not keep the battery charged up enough to avoid starting problems.
