This would only happen if applied once and forgotten about. Like everything else in life, it requires maintenance and inspections time to time. If kept maintained, a undercoating or rust refromer can be a big advantage. If a crack or any other entrance where water and air can get into, will get in there and become a haven for rust to start forming. Usually this can be a visual of cracking or bloating of the material. If not checked, you can cause way more damage, due to the the steel not able to dry constantly in a moistioned state.


I use Rust olenum's Rust Reformer as a undercoating for 2 years now,, works great. If I find a area that needs maintenance,, I take care of it ASAP to stop it from becoming a career...lol
