Back to the Basics
I'm sure rmc4x4 will tell me if has been done before
but a quick search didn't show me anything.
There are parts that I know I'm not sure where they are and I'm sure other beginners/noobs don't either. This could include: sway bars, control arms, U-joint, A-pillar, B-pillar, etc.
Is there a sourch (such as a diagram or picture of an underbody) with all the different components pointed out?
How about basic descriptions of what a specific part is for.
Again let me know of another thread if already done before and I'll bump it up.

Check out WOL's Basic alignment write-up It should give you a basic understanding of the front end. Check out the other write-ups too, they might answer more of your questions.
Edit: Another good way to learn the basics is to pick up an Automotive basics textbook that they use in trade schools and Vo-tech's. You usually can find them fairly cheap at second hand bookstores and overstock stores like Ollie's. There is also alot of good info on the net if you search enough. Its not all jeep specific, but it will give you a good understanding of automotive basics that can be easily applied to a jeep.

I am hoping for Jeep specific stuff since thats what brings us together, although like you said, it's probably all pretty standard.
