Default Bad PCM?

Is it possible for one of the coils in the coil pack to go bad and take out the driver for that coil in the PCM? I had the coil for cylinders 3 and 6 go bad so I put a new coil pack in now I am not getting a trigger from the PCM to make the new coil fire?
Thanks
Chris

If you've got a code for that then it's possible. The fog lights will do something similar.

Surely you removed the battery when you were swapping the coil packs? It should recognize the new packs but hard telling with the computer.

I cleared the computer with a Genesis scanner after the coil swap and I can put a test light on wires for coils 1 and 2 and the light will blink as the motor turns over, but the wire for coil 3 just lights the test light and will not blink.

I know this is an old thread, but did you ever find the solution to this problem. Sounds identical to mine.
