Default Bent rear axle need help on choosing replacement.

Ok guys so I thought it would never happen to me but I have a bent rear axle on my Rubicon. I have never been shopping for axles and I know there's a couple of you reading that have bought at least a couple :-) now here's where I'm at and what I plan to do. First I do not want to buy a used axle (I just don't want to run into buying a bent axle) now I would love to slap my check card on the table and buy a Dana 60/70/80 but uncle Sam doesn't pay me enough lol so I am thinking where I can buy a new housing at a decent price so I can just swap the internals. If you guys have any other ideas please send them to me. I bought this jk as is (with bent tubes) about five months ago now all my tires are about bald in the inside. I would like to fix this before I buy new/used tires thank you for reading.

Oorah Devil Dog! since you want new, i'd chk out the Dynatrac TrailSeries 44 Housing if you don't want OEM, but they can be pricey. good luck!

So I take it you have no idea how it got bent? When I read this stuff, I always wonder how abusive one must be to bend the axle housing. Regardless, you might check with some of the custom rebuild shops like AEV or Screamin' Lizard. They have customers who plunk down big cash to build up new/almost new JKs, to included replacing the axles. You might be able to snag a take-off with limited usage for a good price.

Not exactly cheap, but this is a pretty good option if you want to upgrade.
