Default Bent steering stabilizer causes death wobble?

I've read all the threads about death wobble. I understand all the main issues. The main takeaway I've seen is that steering stabilizer masks problems that cause dw. However my question is , can a bent/damaged/leaking steering stabilizer actually cause death wobble. Reason I ask is that my dw showed up after doing a 2.5" bb, adding spidertrax, and a 5 wheel rotation. I then took it wheeling and pranged the steering stabilizer pretty good. It's bent about 15 degrees at the shaft and appears to have pissed out the oil. I have a new stabilizer and flip kit ready to drop in, but my gut says that there must be something else going on that's causing the dw and I prefer to try to find that before replacing the stabilizer. I may try removing stabilizer completely first and driving it that way. Anyway, comments advice welcome

No, it won't do a damn thing to cause it.

Since you hit the SS hard enough to mash it up, did you bend your tie rod? Toe could be out of whack.

I tweaked the bracket that my steering stabilizer mounted to, which I didn't notice at first. Over time, the stabilizer began to fade, and the DW began. Straightened the bracket, replaced the stabilizer, and no more DW. If there is another underlying problem, it has not shown itself (yet).

Didn't look bent but don't have anything to compare it to.Ill take a look at that. I recall from prior forum readings I can do that in the driveway with some basic tools

Yup, pretty simple to measure. Excessive toe in (which would happen if the tie rod was bent) could be a contributor.

Also, did you loosen ALL control arms and the trackbar before installing the lift, vigorously shake everything at ride height under the vehicles own weight, then tighten everything back up at ride height? If not I suggest loosening everything and doing that.

I think the stabilizer can hide DW, but not cause it. How do I know? Simple, I do not run one at all and have no DW.

I did not loosen everything, just trackbar bolts(and yes i retorqued to spec). but when I put the stabilizer flip in, I need to drop everything and put in bumpstop extensions so Ill be able to do that at that time
