Odyssey and die hard platinum are the same battery sears has a 4 year free replacement and is far less expensive I got mine 3 maybe 4 years ago and never looked back. I have had optima batteries red and yellow tops on other vehicles and they are fine but not military grade lol.

Just food for thought:

I've killed my Optima red top at least half a dozen times from my Jeep sitting in my driveway with a draw from the CB draining it down far enough to where the starter wouldn't even click. Jump it off with my truck, let it sit at high idle with my AEV ProCal (2500rpm) for about 20 minutes and it's good to go again.

I buy most of my parts online at Advance Auto. I use their coupon codes. trt30 for 30% off over $50 purchase and trt41 for $40 off $100+.

Interesting timing. There are four of us with Jeeps 2012 and 2013 wranglers and one guys also owns a 2015 Cherokee. All of us had to replace our OEM batteries this month
2012 JKU lasted 38 months he went with the Sears DieHard Advanced Gold AGM deep cycle battery.
My 2013 JKU 25k Miles lasted 26 months
I went with the Duralast platinum from Autozone
Robert 2013 JKU last 36months he got it replaced under warranty probably due to his
Problems with the 2015 Cherokee which only last 12 months his wrangler died at the dealer. (Long story on his Cherokee)
Then another 2013 JKU battery died 2plus years. Not sure what she replaced hers with.

I guess if you have a OEM battery and have over two years and are about to go out into the woods etc get a new one or have it tested so you don't get stranded.

Not sure which one is better but I'd go with the diehard or Duralast.

I will NEVER buy another Sears Diehard ever again. The last 2 have gone bad early. The last one was 5 months and less than 1000 miles on it before it went bad. And it went bad in a really bad way. I was pulling into Ouray from Denver and I had a very strong rotten egg smell. It was the battery boiling over and spewing acid along with hydrochloric Sulfate fumes. This stuff can ignite with just a spark. I had to let the battery cool down and I headed to the nearest town with a automotive store and that was O'rileys. They ran a test on the battery and the alternator. Turned out it was a bad cell on the battery. Sure Sears would have replaced it under warranty, but guess where the nearest Sears was, 100 miles north in Grand Junction. There was no way I was going to risk having this thing boil over again so I had them throw in one of their batteries. I had the same issue with a Firebird about a 1 1/2 ago having a battery go bad with less than 1000 miles. With fewer and fewer Sears being around and stores closing more and more, I don't ever want to have to drive all over to get a battery replaced under warranty.

And BTW this was a Gold AGM battery.

After reading all the battery posts online i have decided none will work as they all suck. Highly debating a solar panel/windmill option now.
