Cool Best Trunk Option For The JK ????

I can't seem to find a good solution.

The Tuffy Cubby Hole is too small...

The other add-a-trunk style boxes remove the Jeep from working like a truck bed...

All of the other options are very small and can't really hold anything...

The sentry key also makes it difficult to go surfing being that Surfers put the main key inside of their wetsuits....

A hard-top would help all of this but then its not really a Jeep with a hard-top its just an SUV.

If there was just a trunk that slid out that has half the size in height from the Tuffy drawer then we would be in business (that is half the price)

Build one yourself out of wood then carpet it. Looks great.

but im guessing you posted that cause you dont have the know how, or a welder!

but you obviously like going to the beach with the top down and want to secure something bigger than the box in the trunk

what do you want to secure to help get a size on what would work best

I live smack dab in the middle of Hollywood. Building anything isn't going to happen. I have street parking. Good idea though.

What is it you want to store so we know how big of a box you are looking for

And do you have the money to have one custom built if it needs to be?

I picked up a tuffy security deck and love it. Sure it costs a decent amount, but it is also easy to break down (4 thumb screws and the top and front are out.)

For a key - I got one of these without buttons and got it cut at Ace. For $30 you'll have a waterproof option.

I have to leave my shoes, shirt, iphone, wallet, jeans and boardbag etc in the Jeep when I go surfing. I like the Tuffy tray but it blocks the SUV back from working like a truck. Also, when I throw the board in the back it takes too much effort to unzip the back panel so it needs to slide in through the back gate.

I might have to put one of these mounted where the subwoofer goes along with a Tuffy cubby hole cover.
