Bestop Customer Service
So I got a sunrider for hardtop in black twill last year for my JK and since day one I haven’t been able to get it to seat properly on the windshield header gasket and it even made a hole in it because it rubbed so bad, anyways it’s never Been flush with the header causing leaks and air to pass through so I decided to call Bestop customer service and the lady I talked to asked me a few questions and then said they were going to ship me out a whole new top. Great! But now I’m skeptical because she said that everything was done and ready and gave me a reference number for the warranty claim before i even gave her my name or address where they should be shipping out the top to. I told her this and she apologized and took my info and then said that they’ll ship it out once it’s in stocks again. Before I hung up I also asked her if she could take my email down so I could receive updates on the top so I could track it and she said that unfortunately the system they use is old and is all manually imputed so they couldn’t do that. Does this sound accurate to you guys or could this be someone who wasn’t doing their job the right way? I also asked if she needed proof of purchase and she said that due to Covid they were “hooking up” all their customers and just sorting out any issues right away. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
From what I’ve heard about bestop, I don’t think you have anything to worry about and they’ll do what she said.
Saying that, it wasn’t with bestop, but my wife had called in for warranty on a pool liner, they typed the caller ID phone number in their system and by the time she had told them the trouble, they were asking if the info they had was correct, with the technology out there now, even a simple system makes things easy to look up, if the employee wants to do it
