Default Big deal or not?

I walked by my brand new 2014 and saw a flash of yellow by the diff.
Should these wires just be hanging out like that?
Seems a bit of a hack, considering the location.

No, not exposed like that. I'd put some type of wire wrap around them and zip tie them for securing purposes.

that is exactly how I found mine on my 14 rubicon when I got it home. I took a chunk of plastic elect conduit and taped it up.

Mine is just like that. Five years and no issues. The harness is secured a couple inches forward so it will be fine as is.
