Binding when in reverse
2007 4dr Rubicon 6 speed 149000 miles.
Yesterday when reversing in my driveway the jeep seemed to bind up on me. Felt like there was a wheel chuck under my tire. I didn't hit the gas at all... just enough clutch to roll backwards like I've done a million times. I got out to check if a kid placed something weird under the jeep .... nothing. Got back in the jeep and tried again and gave a little gas and it gave a quick clang and pop and then rolled backwards... I about shit myself. I drove it a short distance and it feels fine, didn't give any alarming sounds. There were some ticks and rattles, but I'm pretty sure those are of the norm (front Ujoint needs replacing).
I wasn't in 4 drive before this happened, and I haven't touched my lockers in awhile.
Anyone experienced this? Any Ideas?
