Default Black border around windshield

Anyone removed the black border around the windshield? Mine has the Jeep grill in it and I'm wanting to remove it so I can do the sticker thing up there without the Grill thing showing through. If you have removed it, how? What did you use? etc.

I think you'll need a big hammer.

It's not a sticker, it's printed on the glass. If you want it removed you'll have to either find some way to scrape it off or replace the windshield.

Why not split the banner and leave a gap where the grille is?

Wait a month and your windshield will be all pitted and cracked anyways, then you can just change out the windshield

Put a solid black strip decal on the inside of the windshield to hide the design.

I used a tint strip on mine. It is only visible in direct sunlight.

Just get on the highway and folow close behind a rig. You'll be changing that windshield in no time. Mine was gone and replaced with only 1800 km on the clock. The aftermarket windscreen will not have the jeep grill logo.
