Default Blinker at warp speed.

I was driving to work the other day, it was about 6 deg. out.
I came to my first turn of the morning, I put on my turn signal and it started blinking at least three times as fast as it should. After a while it went back to normal. Anybody else have this happen to them ?

Only time that has ever happened to me is when a bulb went out in my rear blinker... why it went back to normal (or what your problem was) is a mystery to me

I had an old car that would do this if a bulb was burnt out. Don't know if the jeep is the same or not.

Must have had a bad connection in your rear bulb, also check for water in the tail light assembly.

x 2. check your connections and bulbs. I had one loose turn light in my grill and it did the same thing. Fixed it and the clicking went back to normal.

I checked for the bulb, every thing is working and it hasn't done it again.
The water thing in the tail light I didn't check, that could have been.

Any way thanx for the replies.

Yes, the JK is the same. It will blink and click fast if the computer has detected a fault (bad bulb, bad ground, broken wire, etc.) through the CAN-Bus system. The clicking you hear is not a relay to flash the bulbs like in the old days. The computer flashes the bulbs. It also makes a mechanical "relay" in the cluster click so the thing sounds like what we are all used to hearing. It will also throw a code telling you which bulb is bad.
