Default Both Front and Passenger floor bored carpet is always wet!

Ok well not always wet, but each time it rains my front and passenger carpet under the floor mats are always wet. Now before you say... my roof is not leaking, my door are not leaking. The only thing i haven't checked is if my drain plugs are missing, but i don't think they are, so is this a normal problem with the jk's or should i look for the problem else where?

remove the carpet and it will be quite obvious when it occurs the next time it happens. You will be able to see the water trail stain.

It is the seal between the top and the window frame. It is a common problem that is covered under warranty. They are fixing mine as we speak. The problem is, you dont see a direct leak onto the floor board. The water travels down the door frame and seeps in over that piece of trim that covers the lower door sill. It took me a while to figure out because I thought that the water was dripping in from opening the door. Its not. Just a constant trickle thats barely noticable. Bring it to a dealer and they will correct the problem.

ink42o,
I had a similar problem with an 02 dodge dakota. However, it was only the passenger side that would get wet. I was stationed in SoCal and never noticed anything until I drove to Georgia/ Mississippi. After driving through those humid conditions, I noticed my passenger floorboard had a pool of water. The first dealership I went to in Ga could not diagnose the problem correctly. When I got back to Ms I took it to another dealer and they fixed the mystery problem... wich was... there was a drain tube for the AC that needed to be rerouted or something like that. Don't disregard the AC because it is winter time, whenever you use youe defroster it kicks on the condensor wich is where the water accumulates from.

had the same problem they replaced all the weather stripping and some other stuff not sure. It fixded the problem. I could never tell the top or doors were leaking but they hydro tested them an found the inconspicous leaks and replaced. Mine would get wet in front and rear, everywhere but the driver floor board. Warr. covered it.

Ok so the dealer replaced the door seal gasket on the passager side, and order the one for the driver side so we will see if that fixed it.
