Brakes or traction control issues?
Hello all,
I'm on vacation high up in the smokey mountains with our new '16 rubicon with 3600 miles and we have to climb one hell of a hill to get to our cabin. The issue I'm experiencing is after climbing this damn incline we get out and I can smell my rear brakes and feel the heat from them. I find this strange since I'm not touching the brakes at all, in fact I find myself going pretty fast to get a good head start because it's a very steep hill. All pavement I might add. It seems like the traction control is holding brake pressure? Is this normal and if so how can I bypass it?
Thanks,

^^ I always 'bounce' my brake handle, while compressing the button, almost to the first latch a couple of times when I get in to make sure the e-brake isn't hanging.
