Default Broken Fittings on Roll Over Valve

Hello! New to the forum and glad to be a part of the community!

I've got two broken nipples on the roll over valve for the evap system and am curious if any of you have a solid fix (other than grabbing a new/salvage tank). I removed the tank due to the common evap system "small leak" code as I hear the small nipple that tees off into the larger evap line is a common culprit. Sure enough as soon as I put very light pressure on the small line, the nipple sheared right off. I've read many people have this issue and a small tube/roll pin with some epoxy should do the trick for that one.

My main question is regarding the large main evap nipple that also snapped off. This one really made me shake my own head at myself...in a hurry I went to pull the tank out from under the Jeep and perfectly caught that large line somewhere on the frame/control arm breaking that nipple.

My plan is to try and find some vinyl tubing or some other rigid circular fitting/hardware that will fit the ID of that large fitting and epoxy the crap out of it. Curious if anyone has been in that same boat and has successfully fixed it?

Hope you still got the broken pieces. Most guys fix it in a similar fashion to what you mentioned last paragraph. Is that the main fuel line broken? Very brittle when one lowers the tank. Tubing usually can be found at a shop that caters to model electric trains. Very thin brass tubing and yes epoxy the crap out of it but make sure you can get the hoses back on afterwards. Use 24hour epoxy not 1 hour - remember quality is proportional to time.

Agree with the above. There are a lot of YouTube vids showing this process. I know a couple folks that have done it in the past and it's held up just fine. Sixty4x4 highlights a good point about the epoxy cure time and quality.
