In my request for my 2011 JKU build sheet for the axles the rear has 3.73 gears. It says Dana 44 axle. So does that mean I can only go up in gears to what a 44 could hold? I'm new to the gearing stuff but would like to know more. The front being a 30, is that something that should be upgraded eventually? Thanks guys.

 

You got the same gears (373) up front in the D30 and in back D44. Both can be upgraded to larger gears. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum i to have the 44 rear and 30 up front with 34" tires.

 

Welcome brother. I have a 2012 sahara with the the d30 front and d44 rear. Unfortunately I have 3.21 gears. This year I'll get 35s.
