Default Bumper/frame question help

So I have an interesting dilemma, when I was pulling off the bumper on my CPO 2018 wrangler the other day I noticed that one of the bumper mounting plates on the frame horn was slightly angled. It had no affect on the bumper look, measurements or mounting. After some measurements with a level the passenger side mounting plate is in fact angled slightly more so than the driver side. I’m trying to figure out if this is within normal tolerances, in reality I need someone who has noticed this to weigh in or is going to do a bumper swap to take a look at their mounting plates. There aren’t any creases or abnormalities in the crush zones, seems to be just the plate

No details in your profile, so can't tell what you're working with. Some of this could be suspension related....ie, a bit of a rake from back to front, and a bit of a lean from driver to passenger. I just think it's hard to tell with a level. Regardless, it's not something that I would worry about myself.

Unless there are any signs of the Jeep being in a wreck previously, I wouldn't worry about it either. Do like I did, and do a frame chop bumper.

It’s a 2018 used precious rental vehicle JKU. Thanks for the replies all, I was up at the dealership today and had the collision guys take a quick look they said all the welds looked good and it didn’t appear to be actually bent from impact according to how the welds looked. The slight difference could have been the way the plate was welded from the factory they reported 3mm of difference is within spec. Any regrets on the frame horn chop?

A lot of us will chop both front and rear to accommodate desired bumpers. It's definitely an individual choice, and it's not right for everyone. You're obviously tinkering with parts of the vehicle's original safety design, and you need to be willing to accept those consequences in case the unthinkable happens. You never really see much about this stuff when it comes to insurance claims. I'd think that most of the time it's a non factory in repairing a vehicle, but if there was ever something catastrophic that involved a death and lawsuits associated with that, I could see an insurance company trying to find any way to weasel out and possibly identifying that the original structure had been modified, and that modification could have lead to the result. All things to consider on personal level when we choose specific modifications.

My only regrets were that I put 1700 miles on the Jeep before I did the new bumpers. Just over a year later, it has 22K on it as we've come a long way. I still love the looks and clearance of the BFH bumpers. Mine is chopped at both ends. It was mentioned somewhere along the way that I may have voided a warranty or some such shit... I knew what I wanted when I bought the Jeep though. I already had 1-tons bought and waiting for it.
