Default Burning coolant?

Ok burning probaly isn't the best word to use, but i'm going through about an inch a day in my overflow. Can't see a leak anywhere, but my exhaust is dripping a lot of what seems to be water. It will actually spray if i rev it up...any thoughts on how this could be happening? My buddy suggested that i may have blown a head gasket, but if that were the case wouldn't oil be getting in my coolant?

Thanks, Adam

Could well be the head gasket because the area where it gives up determines which of several symptoms you'd observe.
If a lot of moisture is coming out the tailpipe two questions.

How far do you drive each trip that you notice it?

Does the exhaust have a noticable unusual odour?

One way or another, going through any fluid is not O.K.

If you are burning coolant you would have alot of gray smoke. The water may be condensation from cold nights etc. But if you are adding an inch of coolant a day its going somewhere. Track how many ounces you add instead.

Water is a natural by-product of the internal combustion process. I would take it in and have it looked at. At my shop we use an ultra-violet dye detection test, to check for leaks.

That would be the case with a BLOWN head gasket . In this case yours might be on the way out, and these are the warning signs....Don't wait , take it in ASAP.........................
