I get a smell mainly on long hills where I'm pushing higher rpm for longer then usual, from my experience all cars do it.

To me, a tranny can produce a kind of burnt rubber smell, auto or standard?

I read a post in the show and tell portion about the fuse box being defective and allowing water in. From there the fuse box is catching fire. Something to consider watch out for this.

Well considering with the new engine and tranny combo in 12 and it is happening with auto or stick on all models 07 and up i think it just a stupid rubber spacer or something close to the exhaust. Like everyone says its when you really punch it. On ramp, hill, passing........ does anyone get this while towing?

Ha ha. Well i hear ya. At first i did think it was a tag/ label that they stick on every new part burning off. But after a year and 10k they would be long gone. It is puzzling but i really dont mind it much since its another common problem.
