Cabin filter?

this is funny... never thought about a cabin filter while haling a$$ with the top down & doors off... actually I think I turn my a/c on like once or twice a year. better get me one of those filters pronto so I can clean all that fresh mountain air out of the cabin

My 2013 JK Freedom Edition did not come with in cabin filters. Ordered some from Amazon.

the air in my '12 stinks of mildew Anyone know the cheapest place to get these filters? $30-45 for the pair is overpriced. Maybe I'll make one

A filter won't fix the mildew smell.
A/C mildew usually grows in the area of the evaporator, where condensation forms.
Are you sure the mildew smell isn't coming from under the carpets?

Agreed, a trick to helping this is to turn of the AC and just let the air blow for the last few minutes of a trip. This will help dry the moisture from the AC running. I never like to start a vehicle with the AC running anyway (harder on the starter) so this helps with that too as it's already off.

I have gotten lazy with this lately though as all of my vehicles including the Jeep have auto climate control. It's so exhausting turning the dial, I just can't bring myself to do it.

Funny, go to Rockauto.com and you can get 2for around ten bucks.
