Default Carpet Removal Help

I did a search and could not find exactly what I was looking for except that it was easy to take out the carpet, but this is new to me being a first time wrangler owner , so any help is appreciated. After hurricane irene hit, the drivers side floor in my wrangler was wet under the floor mat. I want to remove the carpet, but not really sure how to do it and don't want to jack anything up. I notice there are 3 screw fasteners holding some of it in, but do I also have to remove the surrounding floor trim before taking the carpet out? I have a 2011 2 Door, if that makes a difference. Anyone have any pics. Thanks again.

Just got to pull those plastic screw looking things out. On my 09 there are 1 under each front seat and 1 or 2 on the firewall. After that it should all just pull out without romoving any trim, ect. I thing I had to tear like a one inch segment to get it out from around a seat bracket buts its fairly easy. I have had mine in and out more times than I can remember now.

Best thing you can do is remove them, so much easier than drying them out all the time

We had to make a small cut in the carpet on our 2010 to get it out from underneath the front seats. Either that or unbolt the seat but the cut won't be noticeable if we ever put it back in and it made it super easy, just pull lol.

I had to "tear mine about an inch, I live on gravel and w/ the doors off the carpet gets covered in dust so I take it out and wash it off and then put it back in. I like having no carpet but its brand new and when I pick up girls I like there to be carpet (on the jeep)
