There is a strip near the front seat attachment bolts that requires a small cut (1/4" or so) to be made. Mine was not perforated. neither jk 07-2dr and 09-4dr. You could probably pull hard enough and it would tear but I cut mine. Otherwise you would have to remove the seats to get it out and that wouldn't make sense.

It's on both sides. The carpet wraps around the seat brackets. You have to cut the strip to free it from the brackets without taking off the seats. You access from the door side of the brackets. The carpet only wraps the front seat brackets so you don't have to do it with the rear. My carpet is long gone or I'd take a pic for you.

Well said!! I threw mine in the trash within the first few months of having my jeep. Anything that traps moisture in a jeep just makes no sense.

Now that I have the carpet out its making me think about leaving them out or line-x'in the Jeep.

Thanks for all the advice guys.
There you go! Chuck that thing in the trash or sell it and never look back.

I know I will get bashed by you "hardcore" guys for this but o well. I happen to love my carpet. It is luxurious compared to my Jeeps of the past. Maybe I am getting soft as I get older, but to me.... it is pretty nice having those nice plush carpets in my jeep after years of steel floored cj's and wranglers.

When mine get wet, I pull them out and drape them across the garden tub no one uses for a couple days. I spray them with the odor neutralizer stuff before putting them back in.
