Default CEL (Check engine light) Help, please!

Hey guys, I’m looking for input from the Internet forum gods to help me get rid of my CEL. It has been on consistently since I bought my JK in May.

It throws two codes: loose gas cap and very small leak.

In the last month, I’ve replaced the gas cap, the evaporative system integrity monitor (which I believe may also be called the leak detection pump), and most recently the evap canister and the two hoses attached to it.

Where is the next place I should look for a solution?

Attached to the TIPM there is a valve of some sort. On the bottom of it is a plastic right angle vacuum tube that is easily and frequently damaged. Pull that valve up and take a close look it. It does cause both loose gas cap and small evaporative leak codes.

Look up from the back of your Jeep up towards your gas tank. You could have a cracked EVAP nipple atop your gas tank. I traced my evap leak here and since sealing it, no more CEL.

This thread could also help....
