Default Center console window switches, HELP

Driver side window switch snapped internally, and gets stuck in auto down, have to manually move switch back up. Dealer who sold me the Jeep new had switch pair in stock, more expensive than internet price, but whatever. Sometimes you have to move the switch several times to get window to go back up, so they need to be replaced. It's a 2008 Rubicon 2 door. I've looked, and I haven't found anything yet, can someone point me to pictures, or a write-up or whatever showing me how to disassemble the center stack to replace the switches. I'm going to keep looking, but if a member has a link that will help me, I'd appreciate the direction. I'm sure someone has had it apart for new stereo installation, or some other reason, so it may not just be a window switch replacement write up that could help...

This video shows it perfectly…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bebj-0ynPsg You basically use a large screwdriver and pry at just the right spots on the top and bottom panels to expose 4 bolts. Then again pry the large center panel off.

you don't need to remove any dashboard pieces to remove the power so word switches. you can either us screwdriver (or similar) and pry it out (this is how I've always done it). or you can remove the air vent and push the switches out from behind

Sounds like you have a 2011 and up JK. On those, you are correct, but for the 07-10 they have a totally different dash and you have to remove the center trim as they are attached behind it.

FWIW, on my 2012, I can just grab the ridge between the switches and just pull the module out. No tools needed, which means no scratches
