Default "Change Oil"

Guy's,
Newbie here.......have a new (used) '08 JK. Changed oil the day I got it 46,787 and turned over 50,181 and they change oil light displayed in the odometer area.

So...it was time anyway...so I chnged the oil, filter and air filter. I have driven over 100 miles since then and it still comes on. What the f_ _ _K?

Is there some sort of bottom, steering wheel dance, ignition scenario I need to go through to stop the "ding" and Change oil"?

I also am expirencing the fuel tank "burp" I have read on this forum......piss's me off the gas runs and streaks the "Back in Black" I keep putting on the molding.

Really surprised by all the problems Jeep/Mopar/Chrysler has that I read on this forum, but I'm sure if some of the other manufacture had the loyal following Jeep has they say the same type of stuff.

Oh, the lights on the windows on the dash are all out too....really hard to see at night....told I have to replace the whole assembly switches and all......Really Chrysler?

Anyone that can help with the Oil Change?

Thanks guys, despite all that I love the Jeep and especially this Forum.

They didn't reset the oil light when they did the oil change. Turn the key on but don't start, press the gas pedal all the way down three times and then turn the key off

Check your dimmer switch for the dash lights. It's located on the turn signal lever. It's probably turned down, adjust it accordingly.

Yeah each time you change the oil don't forget to do this or it will 'remind' you again in the future and you'll have one of those 'D'oh' moments.

Just recently got it lol.
