I'm pretty sure the 2016 Wrangler is going to be a continuation of current JK production with very few minor tweaks, if any.

The new "JL" Wrangler that will be the JK's successor probably won't be out until 2017 or 2018.

Subscribed to see if anyone knows about any of the production changes for 2016 on the current platform...

If I don't have press on it yet, you wont see it for 2016. I'm sure that the details are heavily guarded but I usually get info before anyone and I haven't heard a single word. My best guess is honestly 2018. but they have about 6 months to roll out a 2017 model before it wouldn't have enough time. If you don't see a new model by September, It will be 2018.

the best part is having that dream that you are still in your old crappy car.. then waking up and realizing that shiny new jeep in the driveway is yours!!

I am sitting between a rock and a hard place. I will not be back in the USA until 2016 and Im staring at the build sheet for a 2015 rubicon unlimited. However, I have to take possession by the end of Aug. or pay someone to pick it up and put it in a storage unit... long story short- Ordering a 2016 makes more sense... HOWEVER,

CAFE??? I have found several articles and a few info pages that are referring the potential motor change for 2016 wranglers. This could make changing things (exhaust, intakes, programers, etc. ) challenging with this "most likely" being the last year of the JK before the change. (1987 YJ, 1997 TJ, 2007 JK, just saying')

Does anyone have any somewhat solid info on the motor change??? Staying the same? going with the 3.2 going with the 3.4? I read about the diesel with -automatic only for 2017/18 potential price and lack of the 3rd pedal killed it for me.

This is what I have dug up so far. (nothing solid)

Can anyone throw me a bone yet? - I know we are still far off but I have to make moves relatively quickly for the 15/16 ordering process....
