While we are on the subject do most of you use RTV silicone to seal the diff back up or go with a gasket and silicone? The last time I used RTV alone I had a small drip, on the following fluid change I used a gasket with a small amount of RTV and no leak
LSDs require a certain amount of friction--not too much and not too little. Mobil 1, which I've used, works fine in a Jeep that is wheeled--without adding any modifier.

I use LubeLockers on my Riddler diffy covers.

Lubelockers are the rubber type gaskets that can be reused ? I saw them for sale at Northridge I think.

I used Valvoline SynPower 75/90 when I cleaned out the diffs a couple of months ago. I called Valvoline to make sure I didnt need to add any modifier and the tech guy told me there was already a certain percentage in it. Most of the big brand name synthetics like Mobil 1, Valvoline, Pennzoil etc already have the modifier in it, just call and verify with them for peace of mind. Don't add anymore if their is modifier in the oil already, you risk running an open diff and your LSD will be useless.

Yes. I recommend them because they are much better than futzing about with a scraper and RTV.

Default OK, so how long are the factory LSD supposed to last?

How do you know it is wearing out? Or already gone?
Is it replacable?
